Orlando Wedding Films, on what makes a great wedding video:
1. Experience
A lot of college kids get started in video by filming wedding
videos. Think about that for a second, do you want to trust your
once in a lifetime wedding to someone who is just learning? There's
no margin of error for a wedding video, key moments happen fast
and you need a professional and creative videographer
to capture those quick candid moments. Always go with experience.
2. Equipment
The best equipment brings the best quality. One thing though,
it does not guarantee that your video will have creative quality.
Make sure your videographer has 3 Chip (3CCD) professional digital
cameras.
These cameras offer amazing quality, especially since lots of
weddings take place in low light conditions. VHS or 8 mm are not
recommended. Always remember, the equipment alone doesn't
make a great wedding video. Make sure your videographer has talent
and creativity. Choose a videographer who loves their job, and
confirms with you what you need. Orlando Wedding Films videographer
pays attention to the details that matter most to you, and can
edit exceptionally well.
3. Editing
This is a must for a wedding video. Some embarrassing moments
are bound to happen and could be captured. And when showing your
wedding video to your family and friends, well they all say it: "I
wish I could have that edited!"(Unless there are really funny
moments of course!)
Everything starts with great footage. A wedding videographer won't
have much to edit if there aren't any good quality shots of the
bride and groom, and family and friends having a great time. By
all means, I would have to say that editing is extremely important
to Orlando Wedding Films because it allows us to create the wedding
video story and set the tone and feeling of that special wedding
day. Graphics, Tittles and special effects all happen during editing.
It is true that not all Videographers are good editors, so a creative
videographer has an advantage when producing the final wedding
video. Ask any Director or Producer of a major motion picture you
have seen, and they all say the same. Great (not just good) editing
is crucial to the success of the story.
Generally, 3 - 4 hours of editing is required per each attended
hour. A 4-hour wedding will take approximately 20 - 30 hours of
editing, or a good 4 to 8 weeks to finalize. Double that if there
are two cameras.
4. Two Cameras at ceremony
What makes this feature great is the fact that multiple angles
can be taken at your ceremony. Close ups of both the groom and
bride can be transitioned from a view of the altar during the ceremony.
It also allows for more creativity during editing. Imagine sitting
thru the entire ceremony with only one angle all the time. Make
it a little more fun with two cameras at your ceremony so there
are multiple views all the time.
5. Highlight Montage
This is one of the many favorite features about a wedding
video. The Highlight montage is always set to a beautiful song.
Smooth transitions take the viewer thru the entire wedding day
- key moments and precious memories. It moves the heart as it focuses
on the beauty of the bride and handsomeness of the groom via close
ups and zoom outs all set to one of your favorite songs
This is a must have in every wedding video, not for its emotional
impact, but also because it's great to show family and friends
if they don't want to warch the entire wedding video. Highlight
montage is a big pleaser among couples, family and friends.
